The SAP Business ByDesign connection is built and can be connected and tested right away. Before fieldbrain writes to it, we set it up together against your instance: your stages, your required fields, your rules.

Which stages and required fields apply, how existing records are recognised and how differing values are handled. Only then does fieldbrain enable writing for SAP Business ByDesign.
Access and permissions
An OAuth client of your SAP system with access to opportunities and tasks, plus your tenant address. The connection belongs to the account that creates it; CRM sync is part of Professional and above.
Stages
The opportunity's state maps to SAP's life cycle status: open, in process, proposal, won, lost. We check the mapping to your processes during setup.
Business partner
The connection does not link the opportunity to the business partner automatically. We define how this is done in your setup.
Rate limits and errors
On a rate limit, fieldbrain waits the stated time and retries up to three times. Creating requests are not repeated after a server error, so no duplicates appear. Every run is logged, without content.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time. fieldbrain then writes nothing more; what is already in SAP Business ByDesign stays.

Why doesn't fieldbrain write right after connecting?
Because fieldbrain never writes unchecked to a CRM it does not know yet. The connection is set up and checked against your SAP Business ByDesign instance, then we enable it.
What do we need for the setup?
Access with the rights listed below and a person who knows your configuration. We take care of the rest in the Discovery Session and onboarding.
What about SAP S/4HANA or Business One?
This connection is built for SAP Business ByDesign. S/4HANA, Business One and other ERP systems are connected individually to your system landscape.
Does data stay after disconnecting?
